Effeminate Form (EF) Servers Honored
The archdiocese of Boston honored several altar boys and girl altar boys at their annual Altar Servers Appreciation Mass (click here). Cardinal O'Malley remarked, “We pray that the experience of being an altar server will help all to have a better understanding of their vocation in life, and that the experience may help young women consider the possibility of religious life and help young men consider a call to religious life or a vocation to the priesthood.”
It is very sad that this disruptive novelty continues. It sews confusion among the boys and girls, and subjects holy orders to a demeaning and false egalitarianism. But be on guard for the day that they foist this on the Traditional Latin Mass. For as much as I'd like to say, "the hierarchy just doesn't get it," I'm more convinced that they know exactly what they're doing. Pray the Rosary for an end to the liturgical novelties.

I agree. Most masses I have attended have had only girls with pink shoes and pink hair bands. Then I have gone to one where only boys serve and it is done with precision, reverence and just not so strange. It's just awful that this has happened. Often I think people want their daughters to serve because they hope that one day there will be woman priestesses- or whatever they would be called.

Hi Mike,
Do you know if any priest has put a girl on the altar for the Latin Mass? I've heard only one rumor, but nothing confirmed yet.

I think most people attending such a mass would see this as breaking with tradition. Of the 5 churches I have attended since Summorum Pontificum on the east coast- there have only been well trained men and boys. I have stopped attending theOF on Sundays to attend the EF. I have found my home.
