China Forgotten

China doesn't make the Vatican's "top ten" list of countries that persecute Christians. Holy See spokesman and defender of therapeutic abortion, Fr. Federico Lombardi, listed North Korea, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Iran, Maldives, Uzbekistan, Yemen, Iraq and Pakistan, but didn't mention China (link). For shame. It is encouraging, though, that Fr. Lombardi acknowledged the role of "Islamic extremism."

Asia News just requested the release of missing and imprisoned Chinese bishops and priests (link). Read more about China and the Vatican compromise with Communism here, here, here, and here.

Also forgotten on the list would be the USA...or haven't we been noticing what's been going on lately?

You mean conscience protection for doctors and nurses? Sometimes a bishop gingerly complains about that. Or adopting to sodomites? They're giving up (Boston). Bottom line: the USCCB wouldn't want to push too hard against their favorite son, Obama.

Or maybe the incredible persecution of Fr. Haley by sodomite-protector Bishop Loverde? (See angelqueen.org for excellent coverage.)

To be clear, the horror that Catholics suffer under Islam is not to be minimized. In southeast Asia and Iraq and more, Muhammad murders us with impunity. In Egypt, Obama's support for Muhammadan revolution has resulted in Church burnings and kidnapping of Christian girls into slavery.
